ARTBOX Gallery is available to rent for receptions and other public or private events. We can host anything from a business meeting or private dinner party to wedding ceremonies/receptions and concerts.

ARTBOX Gallery Rental Policies and Agreement

 

Availability:

ARTBOX Gallery is a retail art gallery by Myers Design, Inc. The gallery is available for rentals after 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Daytime rentals are available by request. The date requested for rental is considered upon receipt of a deposit. ARTBOX Gallery is only responsible for the rental of its public spaces and is not an event planner. Event planning services are available by request.

Maximum Capacity:
 

Stutz II - Capacity 200

Downtown - Capacity 75

Rental Fees:

All weekend evening rentals: $1500.00

All weekday evening rentals: $1200.00
All weekday or weekend daily rentals (ending time 4:00 pm):  $750.00  
Business meetings/hourly rentals:  $300 per hour
 
50% of rental fee due with agreement, and the balance is due no later than 24 hours prior to event date.

Damage deposit for standard reception: $500.00 --- over 100 guests $1000 (Due evening of event)
The damage deposit must be paid the evening of the event, in addition to the rental fee.  This deposit is completely refundable, within 48 hours of the event, if no loss or damages have occurred and no cleaning beyond customary is required.  If any of the above exceeds the amount of the deposit, renter agrees to pay the additional amount.

Events hosting more than 30 people require a certificate of liability insurance in the amount of $500,000.00.  The two parties that must be named as additionally insured are:  ARTBOX Gallery and Myers Design, Inc.   Also, for events hosting more than 30 people a $200 cleaning fee is due with final payment. $300 for parties over 100.

A $250 furniture removal charge will also be assessed for parties over 100 people.

Agreement Procedure:


Upon signing the rental agreement, a 50% deposit must be submitted. Upon approval of the agreement, this deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the rental fee, and all other charges, will be due no later than 24 hours before the date of rental. Failure to submit payment at that time will void the rental agreement. All checks are to be made payable to Myers Design, Inc.

 The renter should distinguish between party ending time and house closing time. Party ending time means the time the clean up begins, the band stops playing and the bar closes. House closing time is the time when all persons are out of the building. House closing time is 1:00 a.m.

 This agreement shall terminate upon Dissolution of the corporation Myers Design, as a result of bankruptcy, or any other cause, and shall constitute immediate legal termination of agreement.  In the event of gallery relocation, alternate location will be offered.  If alternate location is not acceptable to renter, ARTBOX will only be responsible for returning rental fees. 

Parking:

ARTBOX Gallery has parking on the street and south lot. Valets and/or police officers are suggested for events over 100 people.

Security:

Renter must provide one security person at renter’s expense.

Alcohol Consumption:


Alcohol may be served. ARTBOX Gallery reserves the right to close all bars, should the gallery staff deem it necessary to protect the facility and safety of individuals. Bartenders will be professional and will obey the laws pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages.
 
House Rules:


• The event planner/caterers working at ARTBOX GALLERY must have copies of their business licenses,
certificates of insurance, and proof of workman’s compensation on file.
• A representative for the event planner/caterer must be on site throughout the entire event beginning at the time of delivery of supplies and ending after clean up.
• Event planner/caterers are responsible for unloading, setting up, and reloading all their goods.
• All rented items are to be neatly placed on the designated area by the event planner/caterer after the
event.
• All rented items or delivered goods (alcohol, flowers, video equipment, etc.) must be signed for by the
renter or event planner/caterer - no exceptions.
• Caterers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the gallery, including restroom during the event.
• Caterers must collect all glasses, dishes, trash, etc. during the event to avoid unsightly pileup. Rental items such as dishes, glasses, silverware, etc. are to be neatly placed in the original boxes provided. Non-returnable items, such as paper items, should be discarded in trashcans.
• Caterers are responsible for the cleaning of all public spaces in the gallery, including the restrooms, after the event. This includes the sinks, counters and trash.
• All garbage bags are to be sealed before the caterer takes them to the dumpster. There will be absolutely no dumping onto the grounds.
• There is to be absolutely no food or bulk items emptied into the sinks, as they clog easily.
• All empty bottles are to be disposed of in the boxes they came in and carried to the dumpster. Bottles are not to be thrown in the garbage cans. Ice buckets with wraps and corks should be filtered into the trash.
• Caterers are to provide all necessary tools, such as trash bags, can openers, foil, towels, knives and other
supplies necessary to carry out their duties. ARTBOX Gallery cannot provide any of the above items.
• The rental agreement is between ARTBOX Gallery and the renter. The renter is solely responsible for any and all monies owed.
• ARTBOX Gallery will not remove any significant element(s) of any exhibition to accommodate any event.  ARTBOX Gallery reserves the right to refuse to move any work(s) of art, or to conceal it by any means whatsoever.
• At no time will artwork or furniture be moved without prior permission. All installations or shows are to remain intact.  If agreed upon by management, a fee will be required.
• There can be absolutely nothing hung, nailed, or taped to the walls at ARTBOX Gallery without the
permission of gallery personnel.
• All publicity concerning ARTBOX Gallery must be approved through Jason Myers.
• The renter, or a representative for the renter, (i.e., the event planner/caterer) must be on site throughout the entire event.
• A representative from the gallery will remain on the premises throughout the event.
• ARTBOX Gallery cannot assume responsibility for items left by the caterer, guests, or renter. Caterers or
renter are responsible for removing all articles brought in during the rental event.
• Permission to have dancing will depend upon the exhibition and must be approved prior to the event.
• In the event of any damages occurring to artwork, or to the physical condition of any and all public space within ARTBOX Gallery itself, the renter will be held solely responsible and will be billed accordingly. This includes, but is not limited to, scratches, nicks, breaks or marks of any kind.
• Beer kegs are permitted by request.
• Smoking is not allowed inside the gallery.
